Billing

IndieAM is one monthly plan per business. See Pricing for the price; tax is added where it applies. A new business may start with a free trial (one per person and one per business): see Your free trial.

Only an Owner can see and manage billing. Open Billing from the menu.

The billing screen

It shows where your business stands: in its free trial, when the next charge is and how much, or that billing has stopped and why. Choose Card, invoices and cancelling to change your card, see and download invoices, or cancel.

Payments are by card, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, with a United States billing address. We don't refund a month that's already been paid, but you can cancel any time and nothing more is charged. There are a few exceptions, such as cancelling instead of agreeing to changed terms: see the terms.

When a payment fails

Don't worry: everything keeps working while the payment is tried again over the next couple of weeks. We'll email the Owners, and the billing screen shows the date the tries end. Update your card and the next try uses it.

If none of the tries go through, billing stops (see below).

Cancelling

Cancelling stops billing at the end of the period you've paid for, or at the end of the free trial. Nothing more is charged, and the business keeps working until then.

Changed your mind? Choose Keep billing, card and invoices before that date.

When billing stops

When billing stops (it was cancelled, or payments didn't go through), the business becomes read-only:

• Everyone can still see everything, and download its pictures, videos and photos.
• Nothing new can be made or changed, and posts don't publish themselves; they're handed over to you to post by hand.
• You can still mark posts as posted or skipped, tidy your photos, manage the team, and ask for help.

Buttons for anything else are hidden while billing is stopped, and a short note tells you why. Owners get Restart billing right there.

We may delete a business once its billing has been stopped for at least 30 days, so save anything you want to keep. To keep it and pick up where you left off, choose Restart billing. The first month is charged that day, and posts whose time is still ahead publish themselves again.
