Your free trial

Updated

A new business may start with a 30-day free trial. You'll need to add a card when you set up the business, but nothing is charged until the trial ends.

Starting the trial

Right after you set up your business, IndieAM takes you to a secure checkout to add a card. Before you add it, the checkout shows you:

  • the monthly price (see Pricing)
  • that tax is added where it applies
  • that the plan renews every month until you cancel
  • when the first charge will be made
  • that payments aren't refunded

The card's billing address must be in the United States.

When you're done, your business opens with a note that the trial has started and the day it ends.

Until you've added a card, the business stays read-only. If you leave the checkout before finishing, open the business and choose Start your free trial to go back to it.

During the trial

Everything works as it does on the paid plan, except media credits for AI pictures and animations: you get 100 for the whole trial, instead of 250 a month. Extra credit packs can be bought once the trial ends.

When the trial ends

We'll email you 7 days before your trial ends, with the date and how to cancel, so it never catches you by surprise.

The first month is charged to your card on the day the trial ends, and then every month after that. The billing screen shows the date and the amount.

If you'd like to stop before then, cancel on the billing screen. Cancelling during the trial means nothing is ever charged, and your business keeps working until the trial ends. You can change your mind and undo the cancellation until then.

If a payment doesn't go through, we'll email you. Everything keeps working while the card is tried again, and you can update your card on the billing screen.

Only an Owner can start, change or cancel billing. Open Billing from the menu.

Free trials are one per person, business and card

If you've had a free trial before, or the business has, checkout charges the first month straight away instead.

The same goes for a card that has already been used for a free trial, even under another email address. We can only tell that once checkout is finished, so in that case the first month is charged then, and the email confirming your subscription says so. We do this so the free trial stays something we can offer everyone once.
