Agreeing to the terms

Updated

Everyone who uses IndieAM agrees to its terms of service, so we all know where we stand. We ask you once in the app, and again only when the terms change.

When we ask

  • The first time you sign in, you'll see Before you start, with links to our terms and privacy notice. Read them, then choose I agree.
  • When the terms change, you'll see We've updated our terms the next time you open IndieAM, with a short list of what changed. Choose I agree and you'll carry on right where you were going.

Each person agrees for themselves, so everyone on your team is asked, not just the Owners.

Not now

Not ready to agree yet? Choose Not now. It's there once you belong to a business: the very first time, before you have one, there's nothing to look around yet, so we just ask you to agree. You can still look around IndieAM, but you can't make changes until you agree. A banner at the top of each page reminds you, and Review and agree brings the terms back up whenever you're ready.

Until you agree, you can still:

  • see everything, and download your pictures, videos and photos;
  • manage or cancel billing on the billing screen;
  • delete your account or a business, or change your mind about deleting it;
  • leave a business, or disconnect a social account;
  • turn your daily reminders on or off;
  • ask us for help, and sign out.

Buttons for anything else are hidden until you agree, with a short note and Review and agree where they'd be. That includes marking posts as posted or skipped. Your approved posts keep publishing while you decide.

Not now lasts until you sign out or close your browser. After that, we'll ask again.

Cancelling instead

If you'd rather not agree to updated terms, an Owner can cancel instead. Open Billing from the menu and choose Cancel and get a refund. Your plan ends straight away, and we refund the unused days of your current billing month. We show you the amount before you confirm. In a free trial, the trial simply ends and nothing is charged.

Only an Owner can cancel billing.

How you'll hear about changes

When we change the terms, we'll email everyone with an IndieAM account: what changed, and a link to read them. The new terms apply from that day, and we'll ask you to agree the next time you open IndieAM.

What you agreed to

Your Account page shows the version of the terms you last agreed to, and when. Choose Read them to see that exact version.
