AI pictures
Updated
When a part of a post can use any photo, and nothing in your library suits it, we make a picture for it with AI when we write the post. It's on us, so your first set of pictures for a post uses no credits. You approve the post as usual, and you can change any picture before it goes out.
If people might take an AI picture for your own work or place, we say so under the picture, so you can decide. It doesn't hold up approving the post.
Making another picture
Open the post. On a part marked Any photo, choose Edit, then Make a picture with AI. It takes about a minute, and you can leave the page while it's made.
- When several parts still need a photo, a button like Make 3 pictures with AI makes one for each, as many as your credits cover.
- Once a part has a picture, Make another with AI makes a different one. The button shows how many you have left. To steer it, type what to change in the box above it, like "warmer light, no laptop". It only changes that next picture.
Each part can have up to 3 pictures made.
Changing what it shows
Each picture is made from the part's prompt, which we wrote with the post. You'll find it under "Or make this picture with an AI image app" ("this slide" on a carousel, and "Or make this shot with an AI video app" on a video shot). You can also copy it into an AI app of your own.
To change it, choose Edit on that part, change the prompt, and save. We use your wording exactly as it is.
If a picture is refused because of what the prompt asks for, edit the prompt and try again. A refused picture doesn't count toward the part's pictures.
What it costs
The pictures we add when we write a post are included. Each picture you ask for yourself uses 1 of your media credits. Credits are only used when a picture is actually made. A refused or failed one costs nothing. See Media credits.
Only an Owner can add more credits.
What you get
AI pictures are like stock photos: no words, no logos, and no real business or person. We never make or offer them for a part marked Your photo, because a made-up picture of your actual shop or work wouldn't be honest.
Each picture also goes into your photo library, marked AI-made, so other posts can use it too. To see only AI-made pictures, or only your own photos, use the library's filters.
Labelling AI pictures
Some platforms ask for AI pictures to be labelled. When we publish to TikTok or YouTube Shorts, we turn on Label as AI-made for you, and you can turn it off on the post. We can't add a label anywhere else, even where we publish for you, such as Instagram and Facebook. So check whether the platform asks for one, and if it does, say so in the caption or post it yourself.
Thumbnails and header pictures
A long YouTube video's thumbnail, and an article's or newsletter's header picture, can be made with AI the same way, from their own prompt. You'll find the prompt in the Thumbnail or Header picture box, right above Make a picture with AI, with a Copy button if you'd rather use your own AI app. To change it, choose Edit on that place the post goes.
