Your plan
Updated
The plan is your campaign's posts, day by day. Each post says what it covers (its topic and angle), why it's there, and where it goes. Nothing is written until you approve the plan.
Making the plan
Before you start, check where the campaign posts: it's listed on the campaign, with a Change button. Once the plan is made, the campaign's channels are set.
Once you've chosen at least 6 topics, open the campaign and tap Make my plan. We'll show Making your plan while we work, and you're free to leave the page.
Have photos or videos already? This is a good moment to add them. Once your plan is approved, we'll use them in your posts wherever they fit. See Photos for your posts.
We plan 3 to 5 posts a week, with a video each week when you post to a video channel. Some days have no post, and that's fine.
One post can go to several places at once, like a Reel that's also a TikTok and a YouTube Short.
Each post is tagged Video, Image or Text, and each week starts with a strip of its seven days, so you can see its shape at a glance: which days have a post, and what kind.
Changing posts
Until you approve, each post has these buttons:
- Move: put it on another day of the campaign.
- Where it goes: other formats, more places, or fewer.
- Edit angle: what the post shows or covers. We write the post from your wording.
- Remove (the bin): drop it from the plan.
To add one, choose Add a post in week N under any week. Pick the day, and if you like, a topic and a note of what it should be about.
Each channel can take one post a day, so we'll pick a channel that's free that day.
Checks and the review
If something in the plan looks off, like a thin week, a week with no video, or a topic that's never used, you'll see things to look at above the posts. Tap it to see them. Most come with a button that opens the fix. They're just a friendly nudge, and you can approve whenever you're happy.
Not sure it's right? Tap Get a second opinion and we'll look over the whole plan and suggest a few changes, each with the reason why. Opening one fills in the change for you to check and save. Nothing changes until you do.
Making a new plan
Tap Make a new plan to start over, with a note of what you'd like different if you want. It replaces the whole plan, including your changes.
- You can do this 3 times per campaign. One that fails doesn't count.
- If you remove every post, a new plan is the way to start again, and it counts as one.
- When you've used them all, you can still move, change, remove and add posts.
Offers
A Google Business Profile Offer post is only planned when the campaign has an offer.
- If you chose a deal with the idea, it's already there.
- Otherwise, add one on the campaign screen before you make the plan.
- If you add it after, the plan's checks will point it out.
Approving
When the plan looks right, tap Approve plan. Its posts are locked, and we start writing them straight away. It usually takes about 15 minutes for the whole campaign, and each post shows how it's getting on.
If the campaign starts when you approve its plan, it starts the next day (or when your current campaign ends), and its posts move with it. The plan screen shows the date before you approve. When it starts tomorrow, tomorrow's posts are ready a few minutes after you approve. Approve them that evening so they go out on time.
After that, the only change is adding a post: see Adding posts later.
